It's pretty clearly an obligatory write-up for ad dollars. The thing that convinced me of it is that Doug hasn't responded to one of the comments on the article - completely out of character for him. He is working for The Man now; every once in a while you have take one for the team.

Haha — no — I swear it's all a coincidence. The Lexus happened to come last week, just like I had the E63 wagon a few weeks before. Right now I have a Tundra and it's freaking huge. I didn't reply initially because I spent the entire morning working on other stuff and the entire afternoon on that, and by 4pm I wanted some lunch!!! But I'm back now, ready to take the usual comments, including from the annoying bastards asking 'Do you own a Ferrari?' Haha

If you say so... I guess it felt a bit like you were pulling your punches, although "pretty good" is truly about the worst compliment you can give a car.

She's pretty nice, but I don't think we'll be seeing each other again.
